About · The Towers of Kings

Nobody reads the privacy policy. That is exactly why shady sites hide things in it. We are going to do the opposite and tell you in plain words what happens when you visit The Towers of Kings.

What we collect. When you browse this site your device shares basic technical information automatically, such as your general location, browser type and the pages you view. This is normal for the web. We do not ask you for your name, your address or your payment details, because we do not sell anything directly and we do not run any checkout. If you email us, we obviously see your email address and whatever you chose to write.

Cookies and analytics. We use standard analytics to understand which articles people read and where they lose interest, so we can write better ones. These tools may set cookies, which are small text files stored by your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and the site will still work. We do not use your data to build creepy personal profiles, and we do not sell it.

Affiliate links. Some links on this site point to The Real World and are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you join through them, at no extra cost to you. When you click one you leave our site and land on their platform, which has its own privacy policy and its own handling of your data. Once you are there, you are under their rules, not ours. Read our affiliate disclosure for the full picture.

Third parties. Our analytics providers and our web host process limited data on our behalf so the site can run and improve. We choose established providers and we do not hand your information to anyone for their own marketing. We are not in the business of trading you as a product.

Your rights and your control. You can browse without giving us anything personal, you can control cookies from your own browser, and if you emailed us and want that message deleted, ask and we will remove it. If laws in your region give you the right to see or delete data we hold about you, we will honor a genuine request.

This policy can change as the site grows, and the current version always lives on this page. Now that you actually know what a privacy policy is supposed to say, are you going to keep skipping them on every other site you trust?

Stop reading. Start building.

The men who win are already inside. One decision separates you from them.
